Terms of Service

01Acceptance of terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Snaptryx (the "Service"), operated by Snaptryx ("we", "us"), based in Germany. By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms.

If you use the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you are authorised to accept these Terms for that organisation, and "you" refers to that organisation.

02The service

Snaptryx provides website screenshot capture, PDF generation, visual-difference comparison, and website change monitoring, together with an API and related features.

We continuously improve the Service, and features may be added, changed or removed. We will not materially reduce the core functionality of a paid plan during a paid term without notice.

03Accounts & eligibility

You must provide accurate registration information and keep it up to date. You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and API keys, and for all activity that occurs under your account.

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to use the Service. Notify us promptly at hello@snaptryx.com if you suspect unauthorised use of your account.

04Acceptable use

You may only capture, monitor or process content that you own or are otherwise legally entitled to access and reproduce. You are responsible for your submitted URLs and content.

You must not use the Service to: infringe intellectual property, privacy or other rights; capture or distribute unlawful content; circumvent access controls, paywalls, authentication or bot-protection on third-party sites; send unsolicited or deceptive communications; or place disproportionate load on, probe, or attempt to disrupt the Service or the sites you target.

You must respect the technical and legal boundaries of the websites you capture, including applicable rate limits and terms. We may suspend or limit access that we reasonably believe violates these Terms or endangers the Service or third parties.

05Plans, renders & billing

The Service is offered on a free plan and paid subscription plans. Each plan includes an allowance of renders and features; usage is metered per render.

The free plan is subject to a hard usage cap with no overage. Paid plans include a monthly allowance and bill additional usage above that allowance as metered overage at the rates shown on the pricing page. Payments are processed by our payment provider (Stripe).

Subscriptions renew automatically for successive periods until cancelled. You may cancel at any time through the billing portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period, and fees already paid are non-refundable except where required by law. We may change prices with reasonable prior notice, effective from your next renewal.

06Right of withdrawal (consumers)

If you are a consumer within the meaning of § 13 BGB, you have the right to withdraw from a paid subscription within fourteen days without giving reasons. The period begins on the day the contract is concluded.

To exercise it, inform us by an unambiguous statement — email to hello@snaptryx.com is sufficient — that you withdraw. Sending the notice before the period expires is enough; it does not need to have reached us. We will refund all payments received without undue delay and no later than fourteen days after we are informed, using the same means of payment you used, at no charge to you.

The right lapses early where you have expressly consented to us beginning performance before the period ends and acknowledged that you thereby lose the right of withdrawal (§ 356 (5) BGB). Because a subscription starts immediately on payment, we ask for that consent at checkout; if you do not give it, your subscription begins after the fourteen days.

These provisions apply to consumers only. Business customers are not entitled to statutory withdrawal.

07Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design and the Snaptryx name and logo, is and remains our property and that of our licensors. These Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service in accordance with them.

As between you and us, you retain all rights to the outputs you generate (your screenshots, PDFs and diff results). You grant us the limited rights necessary to host, process and deliver those outputs to you and to operate the Service.

08Availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. Scheduled maintenance, updates and occasional downtime may occur, and rendering depends in part on third-party websites and infrastructure outside our control.

Except where a separate written service-level agreement applies, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available" to the extent permitted by law.

09Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of profits, revenue or data, arising out of or relating to your use of the Service.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law — including liability for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, or under mandatory German product-liability and consumer-protection law.

10Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the Service or other users.

On termination, your right to use the Service ends. We will make your data available for a reasonable period where practicable, after which it is deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy, subject to records we must retain by law.

11Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes we will provide reasonable notice (for example, by email or an in-app notice) before they take effect.

Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree, you may stop using the Service and cancel your subscription.

12Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding its conflict-of-laws rules and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). Mandatory consumer-protection provisions of your country of residence remain unaffected.

The place of jurisdiction for disputes with merchants, legal entities under public law or special funds under public law is Munich, Germany, to the extent permitted by law.
